It’s almost 2009: You can only work for the Hospitality industry if you have the internet.

Internet is Temporarily Unavailable, and so is this job application!
This may be exactly what some people are hearing, or at least assuming from the current hospitality industry. As the state of the economy worsens, companies, and more than likely your hotel company is moving toward on-line ONLY hiring. Obviously, this process is more efficient, and reduces the amount of paper and processing needed to hire an applicant.
Within the industry this is now standard operation, and is a effective pre-screening tool for the employer. Many times these online tools will have personality/behaverioral tests that score the applicant on their fit at the workplace.
Unfortunately, many Americans and minorities do not have regular access to the internet, or even a computer. Often times these applicants are directed to their local library, then you have the question of cost of transportation.

Are US Companies discriminating against people that do not have internet access or transportation to a local library?
